Two Gems Jewelry was founded in 1999 by Michelle Morgan and Gwen Shaughnessy. Michelle and Gwen are sisters that have a passion for creating high-quality unique gemstone jewelry.
We are both biologists that have a love for the natural world. Our gemstone designs are an extension of this love for Mother Nature’s beauty. Each of us has our own unique style; we will make sure to note the artisan on the design.
Natural gemstones have much folklore, myth, and legend surrounding them.Many people attribute healing and energy channeling powers to gemstones when they are worn next to the skin. The power of the stone is said to help heal or soothe various mental, emotional, and physical conditions.Our goal is to use gemstones in jewelry to promote overall well being, either through simply wearing a beautiful piece of art that is lovingly handcrafted or by providing you with a specific gemstone that can be worn for healing or energy channeling purposes.
Gwen has been creating jewelry for over 10 years. Michelle began during a trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2005. Gwen was in search of a beautiful southwestern coral necklace, but had a specific design in her mind. Not finding the “right” necklace, the sisters decided to make it at the local bead shop. Gwen, of course, left the bead store with a beautiful coral and turquoise necklace. Michelle left with her first creation, a coral bracelet that will always have a special place in her heart. |
