Landmark Ring | Carnelian & Mixed Metals
Some stones are meant to stand out. Inspired by the natural landmarks that draw our attention across an open landscape, the Landmark Ring celebrates bold gemstones, contrasting metals, and the beauty of simple, sculptural forms.
At its center is a vibrant 18 × 13 mm oval carnelian, glowing with the rich red-orange hues of autumn. The gemstone is embraced by a warm gold bezel, set against a hand-textured Argentium® silver backplate that creates a beautiful contrast between the two metals.
The ring's distinctive double split shank is handcrafted from bonded 14-karat yellow gold over sterling silver. Unlike conventional gold plating, this material features a substantial layer of genuine 14kt gold pressure-bonded to a sterling silver core, offering the warmth and beauty of gold with the strength and affordability of silver. The graceful open design balances the substantial gemstone while adding a refined, sculptural quality.
Handcrafted in my Santa Fe, New Mexico studio, the Landmark Ring celebrates the natural beauty that catches our eye and stays with us long after the journey.
