Savannah Grass necklace

Inspired by the sweeping grasses of the African savanna, this pendant captures the quiet movement of the landscape where the Tanzanite Trail collection first began to take shape.
 
Hand-formed Argentium silver arcs rise and cross like blades of grass bending in the wind, creating a sculptural frame around a luminous Tanzanite stone. Warm brass and a 14kt gold-filled accent ring add subtle contrast, echoing sunlight moving across the open savanna.
 
The stone itself comes directly from Tanzania, where the rare violet-blue glow of Tanzanite first sparked the idea for this collection. Suspended from a sterling silver chain, the flowing metalwork allows the natural beauty of the stone to remain the focal point.
 
Hand fabricated in my Santa Fe studio, this piece is part of the limited edition Tanzanite Trail collection inspired by travels through Tanzania.
