Our Origins
Two Gems Jewelry began with sisters Michelle Shaughnessy and Gwen Shaughnessy—both biologists, both shaped by a lifelong connection to the natural world.
What started in a small Albuquerque bead shop in 2006 has evolved into a practice rooted in landscape, texture, and quiet observation.
Today, each piece is designed and hand-forged by Michelle in her Santa Fe studio. While Gwen’s path has taken her in a different direction, her influence remains part of the foundation of the brand.
Working in Argentium® silver, sterling silver, gold, and brass, Michelle often brings these materials together—layering tones and textures to reflect the natural contrasts found in the landscape.
Each piece is made to carry something with you: a place, a memory, a moment in the landscape.
